Summary

PEGAPRIM ISOFIX is a universal adhesion primer with super adhesion and stain block properties, based on solvent-borne Shellac-resins. It offers very fast drying times, creating a closed, good adhering paint film that masks odours and can be recoated with most water and solvent borne decorative paints. Suitable for application at freezing temperatures, it is recommended for interior and exterior use, particularly for adhesion on metal surfaces like copper, bronze, stainless steel, and smooth hard surfaces such as old paint layers or Formica. Exterior applications are limited to spot priming.

Technical data includes a density of ±1.2 g/cm³, satin gloss level, 54% solids content by weight, and 30% by volume. It dries touch within 15 minutes, is ready for recoat in 45 minutes, and fully cures in one day. Recommended wet film thickness is 100 µm with a dry film thickness of 30 µm. Theoretical consumption is ±10 m²/l.

Surface preparation requires the substrate to be clean, dry, stable, and degreased if necessary. Application conditions are >-1°C and <80% RH. It can be applied undiluted by roller or diluted with ±2% volume denaturised alcohol for air-atomized spray application at 150-200 bars pressure.

The VOC level is 480 g/l, categorized as A/i with a limit of 500 g/l. Safety data and further details are available in the Safety Data Sheet.
