3M Scotch-Weld Repair Paste RP-2220 B/A is a clear two-part urethane that cures to an erosion-resistant polyurethane elastomer, designed to repair polyurethane coatings or films on aircraft. It has a 1:1 mix ratio, cures to a transparent elastomer, and has excellent sand and rain erosion resistance properties. The paste is supplied in 50 ml dual syringe plastic Duo-Pak cartridges and is part of the 3M EPX Applicator System. Typical physical properties include a density of 1.11-1.08 g/mL, viscosity of 20,000-50,000 cps, and a cure time of 24 hours at 77°F (25°C). The product should only be used to edge seal on primed or painted surfaces, not on bare metal. Edge seal instructions include preparing the surface, applying the paste, smoothing the seal, and allowing it to cure for at least 8 hours at 72°F (22°C).
