Summary

Corroless ACO Brush Grade is a highly specialized, high-build, solvent-free, two-pack polyurethane coating for steel and concrete, applied by brush. It features outstanding physical properties, including flexural strength, tensile strength, impact, and abrasion resistance. The coating is suitable for aggressive environments, such as pipeline protection, offshore splash zones, bridge protection, and chemical plants. It meets various standards, including GBE/CW6 Part 1, BS6920, BS EN 10290, and AWWA C222, and is approved by Malaysian SPAN. The coating has a 100% volume solids content, 0 g/liter VOC content, and a dry film thickness range of 1.0-1.5 mm. It is available in dark grey and special shades, with a mix ratio of 3:1 (base:activator) and a pot life of 25 minutes at 25°C. The coating requires a surface preparation, including blast cleaning to Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007) for steel and removing laitance and contaminants for concrete. It should be applied at approximately 0.5mm per coat, with a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 24 hours between coats. The coating has excellent adhesion to abraded Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and suitably prepared 3LPE and 3LPP.
