A fire-rated fluted steel deck/concrete floor assembly (System No. HW-D-0599) has an Assembly Rating of 2 hours, Nominal Joint Width of 1 inch, and Class II and III Movement Capabilities of 100% compression or extension. The assembly consists of a steel floor, concrete, structural steel support, steel attachment clips, gypsum board, and spray-applied fire resistive material. An alternate fire-rated fluted steel deck roof assembly may be used, constructed with materials and features described in the individual P700 or P900 Series Roof-Ceiling Design.
