Summary

Europium-doped Barium Titanate nanophosphors were synthesized via a solution combustion method using Aloe Vera gel as a biofuel. The X-ray diffraction results showed a tetragonal crystal structure, and the energy gap was estimated to be ~3.29-3.35 eV. The Eu3+ doped BaTiO3 nanophosphor displayed characteristic red emission peaks under UV light, and concentration quenching phenomenon was discussed. The emission color was tuned from pale red to pure red by varying the Eu3+ concentration, with a high color purity of ~92% and correlated color temperature in the range ~2710-2115 K, making it suitable for solid-state lighting applications.
