Summary

Beetles were caught on four sites on a mire (Priistflon) and in an adjacent wet forest during two years, mainly by pitfall traps. The mire has a rich flora due to its calcarous nature and former harvesting of hay. 160 beetle species were found, of which 108 were on the mire and 70 in the wet forest. Almost half of the species found in the second year were not found the year before. Some species are considered rare, and 14 were new to the province, with many having their main distribution further north. Human activities can negatively affect some species on the mires.
