Methods: Researchers sampled 38 ponds across an elevation range of 300 to 1,800 masl using structural equation modelling to analyze direct and indirect effects of area, climate, habitat amount, habitat complexity, and productivity on frog species richness and abundance. Joint species distribution models were employed to investigate the importance of these predictors in frog species composition.
