Summary

Reviewer 1 suggests the study's importance and research gap need to be addressed, and questions why a similar tool to DCCAT was not adapted for assessing dengue community capacity in Sri Lanka. The research team responded that DCCAT was adapted after validation by a panel of experts. Reviewer 1 also requested research instruments and questionnaires be attached, which were provided in additional files.

Reviewer 2 suggests removing "descriptive" from the methods section and adding the evaluation of the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and Health-Seeking Behaviours (HSB), Dengue-Prevention Behaviours (DPB), and Community Capacities (CC) to the aim of the study. Reviewer 2 also suggests several changes to the abstract, methods, and results sections, including adding specific details and explanations for certain terms and variables. The authors corrected the manuscript according to the suggestions.

Both reviewers' comments and suggestions were addressed by the authors, who provided additional information, clarified certain points, and made changes to the manuscript to improve its clarity and consistency.
