BL43IR赤外物性ビームラインでは、高輝度赤外放射光を利用した微小領域、微小試料の赤外顕微分光を行っている。2012年度は、高空間分解能顕微鏡の改良、赤外近接場分光装置の開発試験を行い、また近接場分光に大きく影響する上流光学系の振動について調査を行った。具体的には、高剛性コンデンサーホルダーの導入と振動対策を行った。新しいコンデンサーホルダーは光束の位置ずれをマイクロメーター以下に抑え、振動対策ではイオンポンプの固定不十分が原因の振動を発見し、対策を計画している。
