Dr. Vivek Kumar Himanshu is a Senior Scientist at CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, Dhanbad. He was born on 10.10.1988 and holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. His work experience includes positions at Hindustan Copper Limited, CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research, and National Institute of Technology. His areas of specialization are Rock Blasting, Vibration, Numerical Simulation, and Rock Mechanics. He has made significant contributions to the field, including the development of a scientific method to investigate rock-explosive interactions and a multivariate blast vibration predictor. He has published 20 research papers in journals and 15 in conference proceedings, and has authored a book on Blasting Technology for Underground Hard Rock Mining.
