Summary

The inner demagnetizing factor Ni of polymer bonded soft magnetic composites (PBSMC) decreases from a value close to the demagnetizing factor of a single particle to Ni ≈ 0 as the magnetic content C increases. Measurement data agrees with a model derived from effective medium theory, which predicts a decrease in inner demagnetizing effects as the filler fraction increases, converging to Ni ≈ 0 for a filler fraction of C → 1.
