The article discusses the determination of mean values of reservoir properties, such as porosity and permeability, using statistical methods. The study aims to identify the cutoff values of porosity and permeability, and to determine the distribution of permeability in a field. The results show that 98% of the storage capacity is represented by samples with porosities of 7% or greater, and a cutoff value of 7% porosity can be used to determine net pay. The permeability data is classified and analyzed using statistical methods, and the geometric mean permeability is calculated to describe the overall performance of the reservoir. The study concludes that the geometric mean permeability is a useful parameter in evaluating reservoir performance, and that it can be used to classify permeability data and describe permeability stratification in gas cycling and water flooding.
