Summary

A study was conducted in the Bastar plateau of Chhattisgarh, India, to examine the linkages of different developmental agencies in supporting badi farming, a type of backyard cultivation. The study involved 320 respondents who engaged in badi farming for additional income. The results showed that 67.11% of respondents received financial support from cooperative banks, while over 50% received technical support from the horticulture department. Cooperative societies provided the highest physical support to badi farmers. The study highlights the importance of these linkages in improving the livelihood of tribal farmers in the region.
