Summary

Microscopic understanding of exciton and carrier physics in molecular materials is challenging due to strong electron-phonon coupling and interaction with spin degree of freedom, with unique properties in lead-halide perovskites and molecular optoelectronic materials originating from electron-phonon coupled dielectric screening and vibronic coupling. Thermally activated delayed fluorescence and singlet fission materials are being studied using time-resolved spectroscopy to understand their functions.
