The 2017 GEWEX Data Assessments Panel (GDAP) annual meeting was held in Boulder, Colorado, from October 9-12, 2017. The meeting included a special one-day workshop to coordinate GEWEX and CLIVAR activities on documenting Earth's energy imbalance. The main goals of the meeting were to update GDAP-sponsored ground sites and datasets, establish plans for completing aerosol and cloud assessments, and discuss progress toward the GEWEX integrated data product. A joint CLIVAR-GEWEX EEI workshop is planned for late 2018 in Toulouse, France, to foster collaboration between WCRP communities and work toward an integrated view of EEI.
