- Status: State Endangered
- Location: Upper South East of South Australia, primarily around Bordertown, Mundulla, Custon, and Frances.
- Conservation Status: Endangered under South Australia's Provisional List of Threatened Ecosystems (2001).
- Description: Tree up to 25m high, grey bark, white flowers (March-May), cylindrical-pear shaped fruits, dull leaves with blunt ends. Occurs on fertile, poorly drained clayey soils with a grassy understorey.
- Co-dominant Vegetation: Buloke, Blue Gum, Black Box.
- Threatened Species: Pink Mulla-mulla, Leafy Templetonia.
- Threats: Habitat fragmentation, grazing (stock, rabbits, goats, deer), competition from weeds, roadside vegetation disturbance, small remnant size, lack of overstorey recruitment.
- Recovery Actions: Weed control, ecological research, revegetating roadside corridors, increasing reserve/covenant area.
- Best Remaining Examples: Custon Parklands, Mundulla Common, Pooginagoric-Teatrick Roadside Reserve.
