Summary

The Swiss Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) operates the Automated GNSS Network of Switzerland (AGNES), a multipurpose network consisting of 31 sites equipped with GNSS receivers and antennas. The network serves as a reference for surveying, real-time positioning, and scientific applications such as geotectonics and GNSS-meteorology. In 2015, the network was enhanced to track satellites of the European Galileo System and the Chinese BeiDou System. The station JUJO, located at Jungfraujoch, contributes mainly to scientific applications, providing troposphere path delays to MeteoSwiss and the European meteo community EUMETNET. The data are used for numerical weather predictions and are also sent to the Institute of Applied Physics (IAP) of the University of Berne. In 2016, a new antenna was installed at Jungfraujoch, and the station was renamed JUJ2, allowing for the tracking of signals from multiple satellite systems, including Galileo and BeiDou. The new antenna was calibrated, and the data are available online. The project collaborates with various partners, including MeteoSwiss, the University of Berne, and the ETH Zürich, and has published several scientific papers and conference proceedings.
