- Introduction to marine and atmospheric environments.
- Atmospheric part: Principal meteorological instruments, data acquisition technologies, data flow, and analysis. Practical exercises on existing platforms (UniTS, CNR-ISMAR, ARPA-OSMER). Seminars by experts. Visit to OGS-Meteorological-Oceanographic Centre planned.
- Marine part: Basic oceanographic instrumentations, both in situ and remote. Bathy-morphological surveys, thematic mapping in GIS, and underwater virtual reality generation.
- Objectives: Provide a basic knowledge of meteorological and oceanographic instrumentations, monitoring methods, and data acquisition techniques in marine and atmospheric environments.
- Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of marine and atmospheric environments, informatics, and GIS.
- Teaching Methods: Frontal lectures, seminars, practical exercises, field activities, and visits to research institutes.
- Assessment: Continuous interaction during lectures, optional tests at the end of atmospheric and marine parts.
