Mega-COV is a billion-scale dataset of 100+ languages for COVID-19, collected from Twitter, covering 268 countries, with longitudinal data going back to 2007, and including 169M location-tagged tweets. The dataset is diverse, massive, and longitudinal, making it useful for studying various phenomena related to the pandemic. Two powerful models are developed: one for identifying COVID-19-related tweets (best F1=97%) and another for detecting misinformation about COVID-19 (best F1=92%).
