Summary

Numerical simulations in general relativity are considered with a cosmological ansatz for the metric to investigate the creation of the Universe in a laboratory setting with Galileons. A toy model of a spherically symmetric scalar field minimally coupled to gravity with an asymmetric double-well potential is studied. The dependence of the radius of the critical bubble on the parameters of the theory is examined, demonstrating the wide applicability of the thin-wall approximation. However, no stable bubble solution is found. The study also explores the dynamics of bubbles in the theory of a standard scalar field minimally coupled to gravity, considering the thin-wall approximation and numerical simulations. The results show that there is no stable equilibrium point for the domain wall, and any static solution is unstable.
