- Product: Peat-based inoculant products containing live nitrogen-fixing rhizobium bacteria, marketed as PRIMOGX2, N-Charge, N-Charge S, N-Dure, N-Row, Peanut Power, Peanut Power Sterile, and Guard-N.
- Supplier: Verdesian Life Sciences, U.S., LLC, Cary, NC.
- Hazards: Not classified as hazardous by OSHA, but may cause eye, skin, and respiratory tract irritation.
- First Aid: Rinse eyes with water for 15 minutes, wash skin with water, remove from exposure for inhalation, do not induce vomiting for ingestion. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
- Fire Fighting: Not flammable. Use appropriate extinguishing measures based on local circumstances.
- Accidental Release: Prevent further leakage, keep in closed containers for disposal. See Section 12 for environmental information.
- Handling & Storage: Wash thoroughly after handling, avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Store in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place. Keep containers closed.
- Exposure Controls: Follow OSHA PEL for nuisance dust (15 mg/m³), use NIOSH-approved respiratory protection if needed. Wear eye/face protection and appropriate skin and body protection.
- Physical & Chemical Properties: Solid, dark brown powder/granular, earthy odor, pH 6.5-7.4, relative density 0.6. Not reactive under normal conditions.
- Toxicological Information: May cause irritation upon eye, skin, or respiratory contact. Not classified as a carcinogen, mutagen, or reproductive toxicant.
