Summary

The Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors are designed to improve muon trigger and tracking performance in the CMS experiment for the LHC high luminosity upgrade. A data quality monitoring (DQM) software framework has been designed to verify the integrity of the data produced by the detector electronics and identify potential hardware or firmware malfunctions. The DQM system will monitor the stability and performance of the system during normal data-taking operations, using local hits reconstruction and clustering algorithms for quality control of the data produced by each GEM chamber.
