AOAC Standard Method Performance Requirements (SMPRs) describe minimum performance characteristics for evaluating methods to screen phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors in dietary ingredients and supplements. Validation should include single-laboratory and multi-laboratory studies, with minimum matrices including raw ingredients and finished products. The maximum time-to-result is 1 hour.
