Researchers present a methodology to investigate phase diagrams of quantum models using the reduced basis method (RBM), which builds a small-dimensional basis from a few ground-state snapshots of the full system Hamiltonian. This approach allows for the computation of physical observables with modest computational complexity, significantly lower than the underlying Hilbert space dimension. The method is benchmarked on two test cases, a chain of excited Rydberg atoms and a geometrically frustrated antiferromagnetic two-dimensional lattice model, demonstrating its accuracy and potential to reduce computational costs. The number of required snapshots remains moderate even when investigating different phases, and grows only weakly with system size, making the RBM strategy a promising tool for green computing and a complementary approach to existing algorithms.
