Summary

Fungicides and biorational products were evaluated for control of pink snow mold on perennial ryegrass at the Peace Pipe Country Club in Denville, NJ. Treatments were applied on November 20, 2014, and a second application was made on March 30, 2015, due to extensive snow cover. Turf was inoculated with Microdochium nivale and covered with turf covers to encourage disease development. Visual evaluations were made on March 30 and April 15, 2015, for disease severity, turf quality, color, and phytotoxicity. Results showed that 64% and 73% of treatments provided good to excellent control on March 30 and April 15, 2015, respectively. Products that provided acceptable control included Interface 2.27SC, RU-2125-14J SC, Tartan 2.4SC, and Torque 3.6SC, among others. Turf quality was acceptable for all entries that provided acceptable disease control.
