Die Lebensräume von Amphibien, Eidechsen und kleinen Säugetieren wurden im Laufe des letzten Jahrhunderts massiv beschnitten. Die Schweiz ist für Amphibien zu trocken, 90 Prozent der Feuchtgebietsflächen sind verloren gegangen, 70 Prozent der einheimischen Amphibien-Arten sind vom Aussterben bedroht. Das patentierte "Ökomodule"-System bietet strukturreichen Lebensraum für viele Tiere. Die Familie Renggli experimentiert seit über 20 Jahren, um die Gelbbauchunke und andere vom Aussterben bedrohte Tierarten zu schützen. Das Projekt wird auf Bundesebene gefördert und von einem Mentor von InnoSuisse begleitet.
