The 5th International Russian-Italian Scientific Seminar, "Highlights in Engineering Ecology and Safety in Italy and in Russia," was held in Samara, Russia, on September 21, 2017. The seminar featured presentations on various topics, including ecological buildings, holistic and ecological design, problems of providing ecological safety in city agglomerations, new sorption materials for treating environmental pollution, noise mitigation, and noise awareness and education. The presentations were given by experts from Italy and Russia, including Giuseppe Salamone, Andrey V. Vasilyev, Sergio Luzzi, Vlada V. Zabolotskikh, and Andrea Cerniglia.
