Using Yocto layer "meta-bct-rx3" to support RM3 and RE3 boards involves 5 steps:
1. Downloading Freescale FSL Community BSP from https://github.com/Freescale/fsl-community-bsp-platform.
2. Downloading "meta-bct-rx3" layer by adding it to the existing manifest for repo and refreshing the Yocto source using "repo sync".
3. Adding the layer to Yocto configuration by initializing the configuration and adding the layer to the BBLAYERS string in fsl-community-bsp/build/conf/bblayers.conf.
4. Configuring the build for RE3 or RM3 board by setting MACHINE to "bct-re3" or "bct-rm3" in fsl-community-bsp/build/conf/local.conf.
5. Building the image using "bitbake core-image-sato".
