However, the certification scope covers a subset of the Protection Profile PP-0084 and considers a subset of applicable attacks, excluding physical attacks. Eurosmart emphasizes that penetration tests must cover the whole attack classes to reach the AVA_VAN.5 level and that the certification of soft processor IP does not automatically fulfill the certification requirements of governmental and trade bodies. End-users must be aware of the limitations and requirements to implement security in their final secure IC products to achieve PP-0084 Common Criteria certification.
