The TBTC0/1/2/3 open TEM cells cover the complete frequency range up to 2GHz and can be used with a spectrum analyzer to test products before and after EMC-related design modifications. The TEM cell consists of a septum and walls connected to ground, and the device under test is placed between the bottom wall and the septum. The cell can be used for radiated emission and immunity tests, and the results can indicate whether a design suffers from excessive radiated noise or not. By using a TEM cell, engineers can eliminate guesswork and reduce the risk of failing compliance tests, which can be expensive and delay project schedules.
