A Technology Seminar on High Performance Networking for Complex, Distributed and Safety-Critical Systems is being hosted by Real-Time Innovations (RTI) and Dedicated Systems Australia in Adelaide on May 8, 2009, and Sydney on May 13, 2009. The seminar will cover the Data Distribution Service for Real-Time Systems (DDS) standard, introduced by the Object Management Group (OMG) in 2004, which has become a fundamental component of high-performance infrastructure systems for military and commercial applications. DDS enables low-latency, high-throughput, and high-scalability data distribution, and is used in various systems, including defence, transportation, industrial automation, and medical devices. The seminar will feature Dr. Howard Wang, a Principal Applications Engineer at RTI, and will include topics such as publish/subscribe architecture, fault-tolerant networking, and safety-critical solutions.
