The proposed extension, called Extended Linguistic Hierarchies (ELH), aims to improve the management of multigranular linguistic contexts by providing a more flexible structure. The ELH methodology and computational model are developed to facilitate the use of linguistic term sets with different granularities, such as 5, 7, or 9 labels, and to enable smooth transitions between successive levels. The transformation functions between levels of the linguistic hierarchy are also extended to accommodate the new methodology.
