Summary

Researchers propose a multi-task learning framework for automatic generation of medical imaging reports, addressing challenges such as identifying abnormal regions and generating long paragraphs. The framework jointly predicts tags and generates paragraphs using a co-attention mechanism and hierarchical LSTM model. Experiments on IU X-Ray and PEIR Gross datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, outperforming baseline models in tag prediction and paragraph generation.
