Het is ongeveer 85 mijl naar Kittelfjäll als je in Stockholm begint. Wanneer je eenmaal aankomt, begrijp je waarom veel mensen ervoor kiezen om hierheen te gaan. Er is veel te doen en alles ligt op een paar minuten loopafstand van het hotel. Je kunt onder andere per helikopter naar een bergtop vliegen om vervolgens de hele weg naar beneden te skiën, een sneeuwscootertour maken door een prachtig berglandschap, vissen, paardrijden en natuurlijk naar beneden skiën op de geprepareerde hellingen. Maar geen van deze dingen was de reden waarom mijn collega Tomas Ehrngren en ik, van Da Nada Herrklubb, de hele nacht hebben gereden om hier te komen. We kwamen hier om te ijsklimmen.
