The Isle of Arran Snorkel Trail includes sites at Clauchlands Farm, Lamlash, Whiting Bay, Kildonan, Imachar, and Lochranza.
The waters off Scotland’s west coast are home to a rich marine environment with species like fish, crustaceans, snails, and other invertebrates.
Remember the three Ts: no touching, taking, or teasing of marine animals, plants, or shells.
The Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) works to protect and restore the marine environment, with protected areas like the Lamlash Bay No Take Zone and the South Arran Marine Protected Area.
Snorkelling sites on the island include Lochranza, Clauchlands Point, Kildonan Village Hall, Imachar, and others, with varying levels of difficulty and opportunities to see different marine life.
