Summary

Leisure refers to free time, relaxation, and recreation, and has become a significant influence in American culture over the past 40 years, with the average American enjoying around 130 leisure days per year. The leisure industry has a substantial economic impact, with travel and tourism generating over $400 billion in annual spending. Resort/leisure missions involve outreach to people in leisure settings, such as parks, festivals, and tourist destinations, with the goal of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. A strategic approach to resort/leisure missions involves understanding the biblical basis of missions, identifying opportunities for ministry, and responding to these opportunities in a way that is consistent with Jesus' teachings. The process for implementing resort/leisure missions includes understanding the biblical basis of missions, identifying touch points for ministry, and communicating with God's people about the geographic and ethnic settings of the Father's activity.
