Summary

I'm Kots Paulina Maria, a Polish exchange student at Warsaw University. I've been in Japan for 7 months, and it feels like yesterday. I've made many new friends, visited places I wanted to see, learned about Japanese culture, and eaten delicious food. I've been interested in Japanese literature since middle school and wanted to see the places mentioned in Japanese authors' novels. My favorite author is Shusaku Endo, and Kyushu was the place I wanted to visit the most. I traveled to Kyushu with a Polish friend from April 3-7, visiting Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and other places, including the Nagasaki Peace Park, the Twenty-Six Martyrs Museum, and the Shusaku Endo Memorial Museum. Seeing the historical sites that suffered was heartbreaking, but visiting the memorial museum was a dream come true. I'm happy to have experienced so much in Japan and want to visit more places like Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe in the future.
