Summary

The Blackrock Race 2021 is governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, Irish Sailing Association Prescriptions, IRC and ECHO handicapping system Rules, and SCORA class Rules. The race is open, and boats must enter by completing an online registration form by September 2nd. The safety of each boat is the responsibility of the person in charge, and competitors must follow local harbour regulations, including keeping a safe distance from commercial vessels. The course will be advised by VHF CH 69, with a start line in Cobh and a finish line near Blackrock Castle. Starts will be in accordance with RRS 26, and the order of starts may include Kites IRC/ECHO Class 1 & 2, White IRC/ECHO Class 1 & 2, and a Special 75th Anniversary fleet. The time limit is 16:45 hrs, and the scoring system will be the Low Point System with modifications for SCORA Cruiser classes.
