De focus moet automatisch zijn, maar kan handmatig worden aangepast door op het scherm te tikken. De geïnterviewde moet in de camera kijken, tenzij het een interview is, dan moet de interviewer naast de camera zitten. De ogen van de geïnterviewde moeten op 1/3 van boven in beeld zitten. Zorg voor een schone achtergrond zonder afleidende elementen. Het licht moet op het gezicht van de geïnterviewde schijnen, maar waak voor overbelichting.
