Summary

Clean and lubricate the chain tensioner periodically, replacing pulleys if they have excessive play or generate abnormal noise. Use neutral detergent to clean the chain and the reinforced connecting pin only for narrow chains. Adjust chain length by cutting at a place other than where it was joined with a reinforced connecting pin or end pin. Check chain tension and damage, replacing if necessary. Install the chain tensioner with a spacer to position the guide pulley below the sprocket, tightening the fixing bolt to 8-10 N·m. Set chain length based on chainring tooth difference, with a maximum spacer thickness of 5 mm.
