The Photo Set Strato S-20 includes an articulated arm, steel base, clamping base, quick clamp, extension, adapter, and open-end wrench. Assembly involves screwing the lower arm to the base and fixing the quick clamp to the upper arm. The extension can be mounted between the lower arm and base or the upper arm and quick clamp, but this halves the carrying capacity.

To operate, hold the front part of the arm firmly and manipulate the tightening knob. Release by turning the knob counter-clockwise, position the device, and fix by turning the knob clockwise. The maximum carrying capacity at maximum length is 1 kg. Manipulating the arm requires little force, and it is fixed in position by friction. Changing the position without releasing the tightening mechanism can cause damage. If the arm is not correctly tightened or is overloaded, it can shift or release, damaging the objects being held.
