1. Remove the sash by operating the tilt mechanism and lifting it to clear the pivot bar.
2. Remove the glazing bead by prying it straight up with a putty knife or 5-in-1 tool.
3. Measure the existing glass dimensions to ensure correct sizing of the replacement glass.
4. Cut away the sealant securing the glass to the frame from the exterior side using a flexible putty knife.
5. Remove the glass from the sash and save any rubber setting blocks (shims) for re-installation.
6. Remove old sealant and clean the frame.
7. Replace the shims along the bottom of the sash frame.
8. Apply a continuous bedding bead of neutral cure silicone sealant around the inside perimeter of the sash frame.
9. Prepare the new glass by removing excess sealant at the spacer.
10. Set the new glass into the frame, orienting the Low-E side outwards, and insert remaining shims.
11. Replace the glazing bead on all 4 sides and clean any excess sealant material, then replace the sash into the frame.
