## General Installation & Operation Instructions

- Safety First: Always turn off electricity at the main power box before wiring. Follow local codes, ordinances, and/or the National Electric Code for all connections. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
- Mounting: Mount the fan on an outlet box or supporting system rated for 35 lbs (15.9 kg) or less. Ensure blades are at least 7 feet from the floor and not in contact with any object.
- Blades & Motor: Attach blades after hanging the motor housing. Keep the motor housing in its carton until installation to protect the finish. Do not mix blade sets; each is weighted and designed for a specific fan.
- Wiring: Spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed into the outlet box, keeping common and grounding conductors separate from "HOT" wires.
- Operation: The fan can operate immediately after installation. To reverse direction, press the reverse button while running.

## Important Safety Precautions

- Power Disconnection: Always disconnect power (remove fuse or turn off circuit breaker) before installing or modifying the fan.
- Direct Support: Ensure fan support is directly from the building structure.
- Mounting Screws: Use screws provided with the outlet box, which must be rated for fan support. Many common lighting outlet boxes are not suitable; consult an electrician if unsure.
- Avoid Dimmers & Transformers: Do not use incandescent light dimmers or transformer-based fan speed controls with this fan.
