Installation instructions for Euroline wall mount hood with K series blower:
Read all instructions before installation, all hoods must be installed by a qualified installer.
Observe all applicable codes and standards, switch power off at service panel, and lock service disconnecting means.
Do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities when cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling.
Ducted fans must be vented to outdoors, sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases.
Use only metal ductwork, smooth duct, and smooth gradual turns, avoid sharp-angled turns and flexible duct.
Seal joints with duct tape, ensure proper efficiency with Vent-A-Hood transitions and roof jacks or wall louvers.
The hood must be ducted to outdoors without restrictions, never reduce duct size, and make duct run as short and straight as possible.
Termination requirements include airflow not restricted at end of duct run, wall louver or roof jack required, and gravity damper to prevent back drafts.
Installation details include reading instructions, locating bottom edge of hood no more than 24” above cooking surface, and installing duct from outside to ceiling over exhaust outlet.
Use duct tape to seal joints, and consult connection diagram for exhaust outlet placement, shown with duct cover installed.
Minimum round duct size is 7” (38 in.2), and sones rating is 7.4, remove hood from packaging, and place back of hood on floor or countertop.
Remove duct cover from packaging, remove duct cover mounting screws, and secure duct cover to hood, lift hood and duct cover assembly to wall location.
Mark wall with short horizontal mark along bottom edge of hood, remove hood and duct cover assembly, measure distance between bottom edge of hood and top edge of wood mounting strip.
Mark wall with level horizontal line, measure center of hood, and mark upper horizontal line on wall with short vertical centerline, remove screws inside top of back of hood.
Remove wood mounting strip from back of hood, place top edge of strip on upper level horizontal line on wall, and attach mounting strip to at least two wall studs.
Hang hood on mounting strip, align channel at top of back of hood over wood mounting strip on wall, mark locations on mounting strip, and drill pilot holes.
Cut piece of duct to meet duct in ceiling, crimp one end, position non-crimped end over transition, and seal with duct tape, lift hood up to wall, and hang on mounting strip.
Secure hood to mounting strip by installing screws into pilot holes, ensure proper ground connection, and do not operate hood without proper ground connection.
