To install a Fire-FX2 fire-rated cabinet, follow these steps for metal or wood framing:
1. Remove hardware and glazing, and unlock the cabinet.
2. Create a framed opening corresponding to the cabinet's dimensions.
3. Use provided holes to attach the cabinet to studding, or drill additional holes if necessary.
4. Place the cabinet in position and attach with self-drilling screws, tightening in a criss-cross pattern.
5. Check the cabinet for square and plumb, and adjust if necessary.
6. Ensure the door assembly has freedom of movement, shimming if necessary.
7. Install glazing, decals, handles, and roller catches or SAF-T-LOK.
For masonry installation:
1. Remove hardware and glazing, and unlock the cabinet.
2. Create an opening in the masonry wall corresponding to the cabinet's dimensions.
3. Use provided holes to mark attachment points on the masonry.
4. Drill holes for masonry anchors and install them.
5. Attach the cabinet to the masonry anchors with screws, tightening in a criss-cross pattern.
6. Check the cabinet for square and plumb, and adjust if necessary.
7. Ensure the door assembly has freedom of movement, shimming if necessary.
8. Install glazing, decals, handles, and roller catches or SAF-T-LOK.
