Summary

Do not cut any wires, and avoid piercing or crushing them with insulated wire staples. Cover the photocell on the transformer with dark tape during installation to keep the lights on, then remove it afterwards. The installation involves three steps: preparing the transformer and wiring harness, preparing the post and post cap light, and finalizing the installation. Run the harness down the post, connect the male and female connectors, and align the post cap light on top of the post. Optionally, apply clear exterior silicone caulking to secure the post cap light, then remove the dark tape from the transformer for normal operation.
