Summary

To safely handle Li-Po batteries, never leave them unattended while charging or discharging, and always monitor them during the charging process in a fireproof location. Never charge or discharge a Li-Po battery while it's fixed to a device, and have a lithium-approved fire extinguisher nearby. Avoid overcharging, overheating, or discharging at high currents, and discontinue use if the battery swells, overheats, or shows signs of damage. Store Li-Po batteries at room temperature, away from children and metallic objects, and transport them in fireproof containers with covered connectors. In case of a crash, carefully remove and inspect the battery, placing it in a fireproof location for observation. For disposal, fully discharge the battery unless it's physically damaged, then place it in a fireproof container and contact the manufacturer.
