The Live Tracer is a tool for tracing live non-metallic gas lines from a customer's meter to the main gas line. It consists of a traceable fiberglass rodder, a stuffing box, and an accessory kit. The tool is designed to work exclusively with Jameson components and should not be used with other tools or accessories.

To use the Live Tracer, inspect the O-ring and rod for damage before each use, and replace them if necessary. Close the valves at the riser, remove the meter, and check for gas leaks. Install the stuffing box to the riser, remove the cap and O-ring, and inspect the O-ring.

Insert the tip of the rod into the stuffing box, secure the cap, and open the valve at the riser. Check for gas leaks and verify a safe environment. If no gas is leaking, begin pushing the rod into the pipe, continuously lubricating it with a lubricated wipe.

Attach the transmitter lead to the brass lug on the edge of the rodder canister and follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper setup. The Live Tracer is available in lengths of 100-300 feet and has a minimum bend radius of 2.5 inches and a pull strength of 300 pounds.

The accessory kit includes a storage bag, grounding cable, screws, O-rings, lubricated wipes, hex key driver, adhesive, and a replacement bullet tip. Replacement parts are available, including the accessory kit, stuffing box, bullet tip repair kit, and O-rings.

Required tools not included in the kit are company-approved leak check equipment, transmitter and receiver for locating, wrenches, channel locks, and various pipe fittings. The Live Tracer is covered by a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
