Summary

LVE 951/952 & 951-B is an Electro-Optic Level Switch with a maximum ambient light immunity of 390 FT-CD for black containers and 30 FT-CD for opaque containers. Installation requires threading the sensor into the tank wall, tightening by hand, and further tightening by one to two threads, with caution not to over-tighten. The sensor can be installed horizontally or up to 45° from horizontal, but vertical mounting may be droplet sensitive. Connection requires a voltage supply of 12 VDC ±10% between the red and black wires, with caution not to connect the output wire to VDC power without a load. Specifications include a polysulfone housing and prism, nickel-plated brass body, operating pressure of 0 to 250 psig, operating temperature of -40°F to 230°F, and input voltage of 12 VDC ±10%.
