Hazards:

Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through skin.
Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Wear the following when handling Mepit™:

Long-sleeved shirt and pants
Chemical-resistant gloves (nitrile, butyl, neoprene, or barrier laminate)
Shoes and socks
Follow manufacturer instructions for cleaning and maintaining PPE.

Engineering Controls:

When using closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft, reduced PPE requirements may apply as per the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides.

Environmental Precautions:

Do not apply directly to water, surface water areas, or intertidal zones.
Avoid contaminating water during equipment cleaning or disposal of washwaters.

Application Guidelines:

Spray Coverage: Thorough coverage of cotton foliage is essential. Water is the recommended diluent, but oil can be used in specific states for ULV aerial applications.
Application Rate & Timing:
Option 1: Low-rate multiple applications (up to 5 per season) at 7-14 day intervals under good growing conditions.
Option 2: Higher, less frequent dosages based on vegetative vigor and stress factors.
Stress Considerations: Avoid applying Mepit if plants are stressed by weather, pests, disease, herbicide injury, or fertility issues.
Late Season Cutout: Late applications (4th-6th week of blooming) can benefit cotton but do not replace early season use.

Storage & Disposal:

Store between 32°F and 100°F in a dry place, away from heat or open flame.
Dispose of containers according to local regulations:
* Plastic Containers: Triple rinse, recycle, recondition, puncture and dispose of in a landfill, incinerate (if allowed), or burn with proper precautions.
